Here we go again with my double Thursday year eight class, painting their hands, camouflaging them in their paintings. This class got very abstract expressionist! Designs were a lot more freer, colour based and had lots of fun.

Homage to ALBERTO GIACOMETTI
Year nine students had the task of making sculptures of children at play. We studied what sort of activities little children would act out while playing, swinging from a pole, hiding under a tree or bush, jumping over the fence. We took photos using the ipads of each other as models. Made stick drawings of our photos and turned them into a sculpture, using bamboo and plaster of Paris bandage. Following is work in progress...
Shoes with personalities - year nine art.
Year nine students investigated the use of shoes as an art form, we started this project taking photographs of shoes with the iPad. Then chose our best picture of a shoe with a personality. Using a canvas board, we painted and collaged our shoes to give them life.
