Changed our routine today, did face painting in readiness for tonights Halloween Disco. 

SUGAR SKULLS Year eight art

Year eights were asked to investigate the use and idea behind the Mexican Sugar skulls. After their investigations they looked at designs they were typical of these skulls and were asked to design their own. Examples.....

Lino Cuts - year 09 art - FISH.

Examples of year nine art lino cuts, firstly we printed back and white fish and hand coloured the inside of the fish. 

Second attempt, abstract backgrounds wait to dry and print fish randomly over colour. Here are examples from the first to finish. 

Chalk pastels - Abstract Animal eye.

First to finish.... Year eight art class looked at the medium chalk pastels. With this in mind we investigated an eye of an animal. Looking at shapes, colour and the texture around the eye. Here is the first one finished..... More to come.

MUSIC and EMOTION Year 09 Advanced Art.

You have 30 minutes to produce an art piece relating to music style or a song that you can hear in your head. You can use any medium that inspires you, no real rules. That was the instructions I gave my advanced year nine class. These are works in progress.

This was started prior to the independent project of the same idea, music and emotion.
