BRUSHES 3
What a fantastic first effort by our wonderful year eight students undertaking Visual Arts. Our theory assignment this term was based on the French Impressionist. We looked at eight artists, using Google image search we looked at each of the artist and chose our favourite. When students chose the one they wanted to study, we looked deeper into their artworks. We painted their favourite painting onto a glass bottle and then reproduced the picture using Brushes 3, an app.

Playing with Apps...
While I was doing my online course "iPads in the (ART) classroom" I was playing with a Art app FOOLPROOF that gave me the same sensation of painting with oils, blending and colour exploration. Not only can you save your final artwork, but you it gives you the ability to playback what and how you did the artworks. I have included this in my iMovie about my year nine students using iPads in the classroom photographing shoes In readiness for their collage/panting canvas board.
