Homage to ALBERTO GIACOMETTI

Year nine students had the task of making sculptures of children at play. We studied what sort of activities little children would act out while playing, swinging from a pole, hiding under a tree or bush, jumping over the fence. We took photos using the ipads of each other as models.  Made stick drawings of our photos and turned them into a sculpture, using bamboo and plaster of Paris bandage. Following is work in progress...

Shoes with personalities - year nine art.

Year nine students investigated the use of shoes as an art form, we started this project taking photographs of shoes with the iPad.  Then chose our best picture of a shoe with a personality. Using a canvas board, we painted and collaged our shoes to give them life.

French impressionist bottles

Again my fantastic year eight students producing outstanding examples of work. These bottles are an extension of their theory assignment, where they chose an impressionist artist they admired and reproduced one of their favourite paintings.  We watch youtube, explored and experimented with pointillism and short brush strokes in our visual journals, now here are some of our results of attempting Impressionism.
