GATES (gifted and talented) year six students work @ RMS

Year six students from our feeder schools, who had a creative interest In the visual arts were invited to our school to undertake the Gates program. Friday mornings was dedicated to creating art works, using Louis Nevelson's work as inspiration. Here are our results....

Jigsaw pieces with marbles - derwent pencils on black.

Year eight visual arts class. A class that is showing great potential and creativity, challenged them with the use of coloured pencils, drawing in reverse image onto black. Investigated the shapes and tones that makes up each individual marble, also looking at reflections. Further to their design the negative spaces around the marbles, we have now decided to draw in a design to give the impression that they are on a table.
