Year sevens explored oil pastels. We used sandpaper to draw cats and oil pastels to apply line, shape, colour and tone.
A site dedicated to my students who have worked hard in producing work that they should be proud of. In addition endless postings of ideas and resources helping with the teaching of Visual Arts, in Middle Schools.

Year nine FISH Linocuts.
Each student made a lino cut of a fish. Printed it several times, on any paper surface they could find, this included scrapbooking paper, CANSON paper, newspaper.... To name a few.
Each Made a scape - this was again any paper, paint, they wanted to use to create a background for their fish. It did not have to represent the sea, it was more a play with colour and shapes.
Each fish, they could swap and use other students fish design in their scape, if they chose to do so. Or they could just use their fish design, placing it on the scape thinking about presentation, composition.

Year seven folio's
Students looked and browsed using the iPads for Abstract Art, focusing on lines, shapes and patterns. Colour was investigated last through the use of oil pastels. Where we looked at blending, application and emphasizing colours finally using a black outline, if we chose to.
Names were placed in the middle using a white pencil we coloured in our name, ART, 2014!
