Stainglass Windows

Year Eight stainglass windows.

My students use a template available on the Internet to start them off.

I printout the designs in A3 size; students paperclip their choice to a piece of black card, outline the lines with a large texta, to about one centimetre in width, these acts as the bars between each colour and shape.

With the template and card clipped together the students carefully cut out each shape.  Using a craft knife and a cutting mat. Once the design is finished,  they place cellophane on the back of the card using a glue stick, craft knife to carefully place a colour behind each shape.

Once they are finished, I laminate their artwork, this helps the paper stay together, being on the window the sun can weaken the artwork.
